Our genome assembly and microbiome deconvolution platform combines cutting-edge lab techniques with innovative analysis software to give researchers the tools they need to make important scientific breakthroughs. The person in this position will work with a team of skilled researchers on the development of novel proprietary chromatin conformation capture technologies and their application to diverse genomic fields, including genome assembly and metagenomics.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be a hands-on experimentalist with experience working in a genome technology setting, especially around technology development. In addition to extensive wet-lab expertise, candidates must have strong analytical skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and a track record of utilizing advanced NGS tools. Job responsibilities will include a mixture of novel tool development, improvement and application of current tools, as well as involvement in publication, patents, and grant writing. You&rsquo;ll be part of a highly skilled team where every member is given the opportunity to develop and execute within their area of responsibility and where we share the common goal of delivering world-class results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Apply advanced scientific knowledge to NGS application development.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Execute and improve current genomic and metagenomic protocols.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Validation and optimization of experimental design.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Track project workflow, sample preparation details, sequencing progress, and post run analyses.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Data analysis and presentation.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Assisting with the creation of publications, grants, and patents.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u25cf A Ph.D. (or equivalent level of experience) within genomics, molecular biology, or related discipline.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Proven success in the application of NGS technologies.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Wide breadth of knowledge and the ability to innovate in genomics, chromatin biology, DNA manipulation, and similar fields.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Comfort working in an early stage company, where ambiguity is high and teamwork is a must.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Excellent written and oral communication skills.
