The Tech Venture Challenge<\/a>, hosted by Vanderbilt University’s Center for Technology Transfer & Commercialization, will conclude with the final pitch on April 11. The Tech Venture Challenge is an annual competition designed to provide networking and educational opportunities for Vanderbilt students from a variety of backgrounds including science, business, and law. Under the guidance of business mentors, the student-teams\u00a0develop and present commercialization plans for Vanderbilt inventions and technologies.<\/span><\/div>\n

There will be a networking reception after the pitches that will be a great opportunity for students and postdocs to talk with local entrepreneurs.<\/em><\/div>\n

The three technologies pitched and teams competing this year are:<\/span><\/div>\n

  1. Intellicane<\/b><\/span>
    \nInventors: Dr. Nilanjan Sarkar and Dr. Joshua Wade<\/span>
    \nMentor: Kei Gowda<\/span>
    \nTeam members: Mabel Sato, Francis Cambronero, Bradley Pottgeiger\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. S.M.A.R.T.<\/b><\/span>
    \nInventor: Dr. Richard O\u2019Neil<\/span>
    \nMentor: Judsen Schneider<\/span>
    \nTeam members: Laura Daniel, Hannah Polikowsky, Jordan Best, Ella Hoogenboezem<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Cryo Cath<\/b><\/span>
