In 2018, the Cellular, Biochemical and Molecular Sciences Training Program was awarded a supplement (3T32GM008554-23S1).\u00a0 This supplement was used to fund a course titled “Maximizing Your Potential: Leading and Managing Organizations, Teams, and Your Career”.\u00a0 The “Maximizing Your Potential” course featured an all-day workshop with speaker and author Carl Cohen, who co-wrote the popular boo, “Lab Dynamics: Management and Leadership Skills for Scientists.” The highly interactive one-day workshop allowed students to learn and practice techniques for dealing with challenging situations and people in the scientific workplace.<\/p>\n
