Department-wide COVID-19 Announcements
- CDB Research Exchange at 4 pm on Tuesdays are now in Zoom format. Links can be requested from Lorie Franklin.
- CDB Seminar Series at 12:15 on Mondays are now in Zoom format. Links can be found on the CDB calendar event or requested from Susan Walker.
- The PDB Retreat, originally scheduled for September 10 & 11 has been cancelled.
- The Cell Dynamics Symposium, originally scheduled for May 2020, has been rescheduled for May 20-21, 2021.
Graduate Education-Related COVID 19 Announcements
- All qualifying examinations and thesis committee meetings will be held remotely (via Zoom) until further notice.
- All fall CDB classes for graduate students have been moved to remote or hybrid (remote/in person) format. Contact your instructor for more information.
- Extensions to the Graduate School’s time-to-defense* policy will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Students and/or advisors can initiate a request for extension with the DGS.
*The time-to-defense policy: “The dissertation must be completed within four years after a student has been admitted to candidacy for the degree. Upon petition to the Graduate School, a one-year extension of candidacy may be granted. If such a period has expired without successful completion of the dissertation, the student may be dismissed from the Graduate School.”
- All graduate students must conduct daily symptom monitoring using the VandySafe app.
