Integrative Health

Integrative health focuses on the whole patient and the main hub for Integrative Health for us is the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt. The team at the Osher Center is made up of physicians, psychologists, health coaches and highly regarded, licensed complementary therapeutic practitioners that focus on customizing treatment plans for individual patients. They collaborate with referring physicians and other clinicians as well as the patient to develop a plan to enhance wellbeing and can include a variety of modalities including, but not limited to: acupuncture, mindfulness, chronic pain management, massage therapy, therapeutic yoga, and Tai Chi. As the integrative health interest group, we hope to not only help students better understand the integrative approach to medicine, but to also being to learn skills and techniques that will apply to your daily life as physician.
