Christian Marks
Current position: Health Policy Analyst, CGS Administrators, LLC, Nashville, TN
Christian is originally from Louisiana, and has a Liberal Arts degree from Northwestern State University of Louisiana. Not quite ready to leave her southern roots, Christian made her way to Tennessee and is now a PhD candidate in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics. Her project revolves around understanding the reciprocal regulation of CaMKII and the metabotropic glutamate receptor 5 (mGlu5) and the role of this interaction in normal physiology and in neuropsychiatric disorders. In addition to her work in the lab, Christian sits on the MPB graduate student council and is Vice President of the Vanderbilt Science Policy Group.
