Johanna Gandy Pasek, PhD
Current position: Manager, Clinical Science, Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute
Johanna joined the Colbran lab in 2012 after obtaining her Ph.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In her project, she developed a procedure coupling biochemistry and brain slice pharmacology to evaluate the actions of calcium permeable ion channels on striatal CaMKII activity. By studying these mechanisms, she hopes to provide potential strategies to treat neurological and psychiatric disorders.
