Marcy Sipes

Associate Director, Pediatric Speech Pathology Services and Assistant Professor


Marcy A. Sipes, M.S. CCC-SLP, is the Associate Director of Pediatric Speech Pathology Services for the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center and Assistant Professor in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences (Vanderbilt University School of Medicine). She completed her undergraduate education and her MS in Communication Disorders at Western Kentucky University. Marcy spent her Clinical Fellowship experience serving patients with multiple needs including Augmentative Alternative Communication. Following her Clinical Fellowship experience, Marcy took a position in a Skilled Nursing Facility. In 1989, Marcy joined the staff of the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center where she initially saw a variety of patients including adults and children. Marcy has particular interests in meeting the needs of School Age patients, specifically addressing language learning needs and literacy. Marcy has been a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) since 1987. She maintains membership of ASHA Special Interest Divisions 1 and 11.
