Our lab is interested in extracellular RNA and the release of exosomes from colorectal cancer cells. My project focuses on how miRNAs are sorted to exosomes, and what proteins may be playing a role in this process. The goal of my project is to determine if knocking down specific RNA binding proteins affects the transfer of miRNAs to exosomes.
