Joyonna Gamble-George, a 3rd year neuroscience Ph.D student, was recently selected to attend the 64th Lindau Nobel Laureate (Physiology or Medicine) meeting this summer in Lindau, Germany.  More than 20,000 young researchers from 80 countries applied to attend the meeting, but only 600 of them advanced to the final round of a multi-stage selection process.

At this meeting, Joyonna will have the chance to network and meet with Nobel Laureates to discuss future research approaches to medicine.  "I am so honored to be given this opportunity to discuss science and how it can be applied in the field of medicine or physiology to better humanity.  I am looking forward to being inspired to devise creative ways for combating anxiety and stress-related disorders from a neurobiological standpoint," said Gamble-George.
