Violence Seen Through a Public Health Lens

As a trauma surgeon and health services researcher, Dr. Rogers’ clinical and research interests focus on the health care needs of underserved populations. He builds interdisciplinary teams to address health disparities and the societal factors that affect individuals and communities affected by violence. He earned his Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Vanderbilt in 2002 while serving as a junior faculty member at Vanderbilt University and Meharry Medical College.
