Literature, Arts, and Medicine is a student organization at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (VUSM), dedicated to promoting and celebrating arts in all forms, fostering a community around creative expression, and providing a forum by which students and faculty can cultivate and showcase their artistic talents.
Founded in 2015, Literature, Arts, and Medicine serves as the creative outlet for members of the School of Medicine and Medical Center communities, through endeavors such as:
- The Cultural Series, a bimonthly showcase featuring artistic works by Vanderbilt students, housestaff, faculty, and employees. Past events have featured instrumental and vocal performances, literary readings, displays of visual arts, and other pursuits in creative self-expression.
- Tabula Rasa and Post-Call, the official literary journals of the School of Medicine and Medical Center, featuring essays, short stories, poems, and more.
