The MBTP strongly encourages the participation of persons from groups that are underrepresented in science.<\/p>\r\n<!-- rich-text -->\r\n<h2 data-jumplink=\"true\">Overview<\/h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><details>\r\n<summary>The Program at a Glance<\/summary>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Technical and financial assistance: competitive stipends with full tuition and fees available on a competitive basis<\/li>\r\n<li>Two-year duration after the first year of graduate school<\/li>\r\n<li>Seminars and courses in Molecular Biophysics (open to all students)<\/li>\r\n<li>Present research progress at the <a href=\"http:\/\/csb.vanderbilt.edu\/calendar.php\">Molecular Biophysics Seminar Series<\/a><\/li>\r\n<li>Participate in committees that plan and organize the Molecular Biophysics Seminar Series and student recruitment events<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/details><\/li>\r\n<li><details>\r\n<summary>Applying to the MBTP Training Program<\/summary>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Apply at end of first year (after two semesters of broad training)<\/li>\r\n<li>Complete the MBTP application process together with advisor<\/li>\r\n<li>Participating graduate programs are listed below.
