Shade Tree Trot Committee

Posted by on Monday, February 20, 2017 in Student Activities .

The Shade Tree Trot 5k and associated Benefit Dinner is an annual event that serves as the main fundraiser for our beloved Shade Tree Clinic. You get to work with med students of all years to plan an event that routinely brings in $40,000+ and has nearly 1,000 people in attendance. The Shade Tree Trot committee serves as the student body that is responsible for planning the race. The responsibilities of the race are broken down into discrete subcommittees, such as the Public Relations/Advertising committee, the Race-day Festivities committee, the Business Committee, among many others. Each subcommittee plans and coordinates a particular area of the event ensuring that the race runs smoothly. Planning the Trot and Dinner is a very fun and rewarding experience!
