From the start of my application process, I knew that I liked Vanderbilt on paper — the curriculum, the location, the vast resources it could provide. But those weren’t the things that made me chose to come here. I chose Vandy because of the people. Everyone made me feel so comfortable and welcome on my interview day, and my cheeks actually hurt from smiling so much after Second Look Weekend. I knew that those were the people that I wanted to surround myself with during the next four pivotal years. As my friends and I now say, “there’s no one else in the world I would rather be just a little stressed with.”
I was born and raised in northern New Jersey, after which I studied behavioral neuroscience at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. I then worked in clinical research for two years at Virginia Commonwealth before moving to Nashville, where I am now a second year student (and loving it). Outside of the hospital, I like to spend my time playing with my dog, trying out new recipes, annoying my fiancé with fun medical knowledge, and exploring this wonderful city.
