Hello! My name is Malini, and I am one of the many California transplants now living in Nashville! When I interviewed, I really felt like the student and faculty at Vanderbilt were a family, and that support system drew me to the school. Both the curriculum and the people really appealed to me, and I really appreciate the integration of research and interprofessional learning into our programs here. I’ve been active in the Curriculum Committee, making sure students have a continued voice in VUSM’s innovative approaches to medical education. I also volunteer at Shade Tree Clinic, our free student-run clinic! I would love to tell you more about coming to Vanderbilt, where everyone can feel at home!
Fun fact about me: I love Mie Goreng, an Indonesian noodle dish, and would eat it for every meal if I could only pick one food to eat forever!
