Integrating learning with patient care by immersing students in clinical environments beginning in the first year and continuing through the entire curriculum.

Translating discovery into practice by tapping medical breakthroughs at Vanderbilt and across the world for new knowledge.

Supporting professional growth by creating personalized learning plans and flexibility and offering supportive learning communities

Creating physician leaders through focus on scholarship, discovery, critical thinking and curiosity and chart progress in competency-based assessments

The curriculum is supported by more than $10 million in educational facilities including the Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment, with its state-of-the-art Standardized Patient Center and Simulation Center, as well as the cutting-edge anatomy laboratory on the top floor of the Vanderbilt Institute for Imaging Science.
