Medical Grand Rounds presents 'Beginning with the End in Mind: Post-ICU Syndrome and the ABCDEF Bundle'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, the Department of Internal Medicine will present Medical Grant Rounds, with Nathan E. Brummel, MD, MSCI discussing "Beginning with the End in Mind:  Post-ICU Syndrome and the ABCDEF Bundle."

Brummel is an Assistant Professor (Allergy, Pulmonary, Critical Care) in the Department of Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He will speak from 12:10 - 1:10 pm at the S. S. Kresge Learning Resource Center, Lecture Hall 1.

 

Objectives

  1. Describe the impairments and disabilities that comprise the Post-ICU Syndrome (PICS)
  2. Use the “vulnerability hypothesis” to describe how PICS may develop
  3. Explore the ABCDE bundle to modify patients’ chances of developing PICS
