Tuition

Image23.jpgThe MLI program extends tuition benefits to students who are currently Vanderbilt University (VU) or Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) employees for up to thirty-six semester hours of credit. For these students, a majority of their academic tuition and fees will be covered by the program. The School of Medicine will contribute 75% of the tuition due each semester.  Students will be responsible for contributing 15% of the tuition costs per semester.  Additionally, students’ supporting laboratories will also be responsible for contributing 10% of the tuition costs per semester.  MLI students typically enroll for 12 semester hours of credit each calendar year over the fall, spring, and summer semesters.

For 2017-2018, the standard graduate student tuition rate is $1,477 per credit hour. At the current rate, MLI students will be charged approximately $221.55 per credit hour.  For example,  students who take a typical load of 12 hours will be contributing approximately $2658.60 ($1,477 X 12 hours X 15%) to their tuition bill for the entire 2017-2018 year.
