I’m originally from Plovdiv, Bulgaria. I earned a bachelors in biology from the University of Kentucky, where I researched how mitochondrial stress affects the development of hypertension in vervet monkeys. I started my PhD at Vanderbilt University in 2016 in the department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics. I’m completing my thesis in Dr. Lea K Davis’s laboratory. My project focuses on the clinical and genetic epidemiology of functional seizures. My research interests include neurology, genetics, data science methodology, and epidemiology.
