Thao Le

Graduate Student, Ayala Laboratory, Molecular Physiology & Biophysics

Born and raised in Tra Vinh, Viet Nam, I came to the U.S. to complete high school in Minnesota and attend Hampshire College, a small liberal arts college in Amherst, Massachusetts. Graduating with concentrations in anthropology and interdisciplinary science in 2014, I stayed in MA and worked as a research assistant for 1 year before moving to Nashville to pursue my graduate and medical education at Vanderbilt. I am currently a G3 MSTP student training in the lab of Dr. Julio Ayala, where we study the role of glucagon-like peptide-1 in regulating energy balance.
