The application deadlines for international candidates are the same as for U.S. candidates. We strongly encourage international candidates to start the online application process as soon as possible due to the additional time involved in managing the WES evaluation process.
International applicants are required to take the TOEFL and have their scores submitted directly by ETS to SOPHAS using the code #5688 (SOPHAS in Massachusetts). IELTS test scores will not be accepted.
TOEFL scores are valid for two (2) years after the test date.
This requirement is waived for U.S. permanent residents and those who have completed an academic degree at an institution where English is the language of instruction.
Official transcripts from U.S. and Canadian institutions must be sent directly from the institution to SOPHAS.
Official transcripts from international institutions must be evaluated by World Education Services (WES). SOPHAS will not accept transcripts from international universities or other agency evaluations (i.e. ECE). It is important to review and follow the country-specific document requirements and arrange for document delivery to WES.
A limited number of discounts toward the cost of the WES course-by-course evaluation for SOPHAS are available. Please click here for specific instructions on how to apply for a discount.
