The MPH Program is a full-time, two-year (5 academic terms) program. Tuition is paid prior to each academic term (Year 1: Fall, Spring, Summer; Year 2: Fall, Spring).

Tuition and Deadlines
Tuition and student fee amounts for the upcoming academic year are determined every April by the Vanderbilt Board of Trust.
Tuition rates for the 2017-2018 academic year:
Year 1: $35,535
Year 2: $17,768
Entire program tuition based on 2017-2018 rates: $53,303
Tuition deadlines for the 2017-2018 academic year:
- Fall: August 31, 2017
- Spring: January 2, 2018
- Summer: May 1, 2018
All students in the MPH Program are responsible for the following 2015-2016 student fees:
- Student Health Insurance Fee: $3,253 (charged in installments of $1,627 in the fall and spring terms)
- Student Health Service Fee: $65 (charged in $32.50 in the fall and spring terms; this fee is charged to all students, regardless of health insurance provider)
- Verification Fee: $75 (charged in installments of $32.50 in the fall and spring terms)
- Transcript Fee: $100 (one-time charge for students new to Vanderbilt University)
Students in the MPH Program are not charged the Student Recreation Fee, which covers the cost of a membership to the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center (VRWC) for the academic year (fall and spring semesters only). MPH students who wish to use the Vanderbilt Recreation and Wellness Center (VRWC) may choose to purchase a membership at the discounted student rate.
Vanderbilt University requires all eligible students to be covered by a health insurance plan that is comparable to or exceeds the Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan, administered by Gallagher Student Health & Special Risk. Students who meet the eligibility requirements are automatically enrolled in and billed for the Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan.
Coverage Period - August 12, 2016 to August 11, 2017
Eligibility - All graduate and professional students registered in degree programs of four or more credits or who are actively enrolled in research courses that are designated by Vanderbilt University as full-time enrollment.
Waiving the Student Plan - If you have other insurance and do not wish to participate in the Student Injury and Sickness Plan offered through the University, you must complete an online waiver form (www.gallagherstudent.com/Vanderbilt) indicating your other insurance information. The online waiver form must be completed no later than August 1 or you will remain enrolled in the plan offered by the university and will be responsible for paying the insurance premium. All students who wish to waive coverage are required to complete an online waiver form at the beginning of each academic year.
International Students - All international students attending Vanderbilt University are automatically enrolled in and billed for the Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan to be in compliance with federal regulations relating to J-1 Visa status that requires international students and their dependents residing in the United States to maintain adequate health insurance coverage.
