Jarod Fincher
Postdoctoral Scholar, Mass Spectrometry
Jarod received his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from The George Washington University in 2019. His graduate work focused primarily on developing and applying a matrix-free laser desorption ionization platform, silicon nanopost arrays (NAPA), for MS imaging. This platform offers complementary molecular coverage compared to MALDI, allowing for the efficient detection of species such as neutral lipids in imaging experiments. Jarod’s research interests include further developing the NAPA platform, as well as designing new nanofabricated platforms aimed at extending the molecular coverage of biomolecules.
