Emilio Rivera

Emilio is from Las Cruces, New Mexico and received his B.S. in biochemistry from New Mexico State University where his research was supervised by Dr. Antonio Lara, and focused on clay chemistry. Before starting graduate school, Emilio spent two years as a research assistant in the MSRC Mass Spectrometry Core under Dr. Kevin Schey, where his interest was developing an LCMS metabolomics workflow. Since starting his PhD, Emilio has been advised by Dr. Richard Caprioli and Dr. Jeffrey Spraggins and is working on developing technologies for MALDI imaging mass spectrometry.
