VUMC Alum Jerry Jaboin, MD, PhD, Meets with Students

Dr. Jerry Jaboin earned his M.D./Ph.D. from Howard University/National Cancer Institute before completing his Radiation Oncology residency at Vanderbilt. He is now an Associate Professor and Executive Vice-Chair of the Department of Radiation Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University.
Dr. Jaboin met with several MSTP students, in which we all shared our training paths and addressed challenges we have encountered along the way. Additionally, Dr. Jaboin gave us exceptional insight in how to identify a radiation oncology residency program that will support physician-scientist training as well as fantastic advice on things to negotiate for when applying for our first physician-scientist career jobs.
