City Services

Moving to Nashville and starting your medical school life will be much easier if you set up some services when you arrive. For your convenience, we have listed a few of the city services you may want to contact before you move. Make sure you inquire about special offers since many of these companies do have deals.

Nashville Electric Service

A new customer can call NES 24 hours a day to apply for service (less wait if you call during off hours). If you do not have satisfactory credit, you will need to pay a refundable security deposit equal to 2 months service. Transferring service from the previous tenant will cost only $15; however, the new service connection fee is $30 with the option of same day connection for $45 (for the procrastinators among us). Most medical students are pleased with their fairly low bills – averaging about $50/month for a 2-bedroom apartment.
