Bicycle Repair

If you choose to bike to class every morning, here are a few repair shops and stores that will make sure you get there on time and in-style. If these listings don’t satisfy your cravings, try the Tennessee Classifieds, where past students have been known to find good deals

Cumberland Transit

They have the largest variety of bike brands. They also have a good little skateboard shop in the back for anyone who feels the urge to shred Nashvegas!

Eastside Cycles

Excellent recommendations by VMSers who say the staff is friendly, helpful and not at all snobby. If you come by near closing time, you may even be invited for a beer. This shop also organizes fun events like “Bar Rides.”

Gran Fondo Cycles

A great bike store for cycling and triathlon gear and also for any bike repairs you need. Ask for Clayton.

Halcyon Bike Shop

Halcyon Bike Shop sells remade bikes and quality parts, as well as performing tune-ups and repairs. They can also help you build your own custom bike and are an excellent resource for information as well. *Highly recommended by VMS II students who said they had the “best experience” here, that it was “amazing” for a bike tune-up or used bike.
