This is the closest major bookstore to campus. Approximately a 15 minute trip away, it is conveniently located next to many other shops including a DSW, Old Navy, Marshall’s, and others.
6718 Charlotte Pike
A quaint bookstore conveniently located in Hillsboro Village. Its stock of over 100,000 books makes for a great Saturday of browsing. It specializes in used books, but often runs discounts on their small selection of new books. Voted Nashville’s “Best Used Bookstore.”
Hillsboro Village: 1713 21st Ave S
Browse through their used and historical books. A nice selection of history and reference books with a special emphasis on the Civil War and Tennessee history. Watch for high prices.
2115 Elliston Place
The Nashville Public Library is great! It has over 15 branch libraries located throughout the area; the closest of which are the Main and Green Hills branches. The best thing about this library is everything is free (as long as you return everything on time, that is)!

This is an adorable independent bookstore co-owned by New York Times bestselling author Ann Patchett (Bel Canto, State of Wonder, etc) and publishing veteran Karen Hayes. Parnassus partners with and supports local writers, artists, and businesses. They also host events where readers can connect with authors.
