Program

Two sessions (between 60 and 75 minutes each)

Follow-up session takes place 3-4 weeks after the first appointment 

Purpose

Learn mindfulness and self-regulatory skills to address anxiety and improve overall performance

Locations

Student Health: Tuesdays: 12:30 - 4:00

Blair room 1197: Thursdays: 1:00 - 4:30

  • Biofeedback is a process that enables an individual to learn how to change physiological activity for the purposes of improving health and performance (aapb.org)
  • Heart Rate Variability biofeedback (HRVB) is considered a measure of neurocardiac function reflecting heart-brain interactions and autonomic nervous system (ANS) dynamics
  • HRVB is an effective tool to down-regulate physiological responses and prevent anxiety from escalating
