Ashleigh Hoskins

Ashleigh Hoskins is from Kimmell, Indiana. She earned her Associate of Science in Liberal Arts from Grace College in 2022 and her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in psychology and Computers in Science and Mathematics (CiSM) certificate from the University of Evansville in 2026. As an undergraduate, Ashleigh conducted research aimed at identifying proteins involved in Drosophila oocyte fate determination, which she presented at both local and national conferences. She was also a teaching assistant, tutor, and writing mentor within UE’s biology department. Additionally, Ashleigh studied abroad for a semester in Harlaxton, England.
Outside of her studies, Ashleigh mentored local elementary students through UE’s College Mentors for Kids chapter and interned at Albion Fellows Bacon Center, a sexual and domestic violence shelter and crisis center. At Albion, she interacted with shelter residents, answered crisis calls, and co-facilitated a sexual assault support group. She also worked as a plant science lab assistant intern at Anu, a company using indoor aeroponic systems and seed pods to address urban food insecurities. During the summers, she teaches swimming lessons.
In her free time, Ashleigh likes to enjoy sweet treats, read, and spend time outdoors through camping, hiking, running, and pickleball.
