Brief Bio
Dr. Károly Mirnics has been a member of the faculty since 2006. He earned his MD degree in 1986 from University of Novi Sad, Yugoslavia. After a postdoctoral training with Dr. H Richard Koerber and Dr. Pat R. Levitt at the Department of Neurobiology at University of Pittsburgh he established his independent laboratory in 2000 at the Translational Neuroscience Program at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Pittsburgh. In the summer of 2006 Dr. Mirnics relocated his laboratory to Vanderbilt University. He currently holds a Professor and Vice Chair for Basic Science Research at Vanderbilt University and an Adjunct associate professor position title at University of Pittsburgh.
