Mutations in TP53 are the most common event in cancer, and are the only common alteration among the subtypes of triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). I am trying to understand the mechanisms of the mutant p53 gain of function adaptive state, in an attempt to develop a new therapeutic target for TNBC, a disease that currently has none.
