There is so much to do, from hiking in nearby mountains, to watching pro sporting events, to hearing amazing free music, to eating some of the best food in the country! \u201cMusic City\u201d is so much more than just country. You won\u2019t believe all of the awesome opportunities you\u2019ll get to experience in one of the coolest cities to live.<\/p>\n<h3>Here are some more reasons that draw so many people to Music City.<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Music:\u00a0<\/strong>We&#8217;re called Music City for a reason. With so many live music venues in town and several festivals (e.g. CMAFest, Bonnaroo), Nashville attracts musical talent from across the country at all times of the year. Be sure to also check out the Nashville Symphony.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parks:<\/strong>\u00a0It can be easy to forget you are in an urban setting with the number of green spaces, parks, and trails within striking distance. For those who like to get away and enjoy nature, Nashville has countless options to choose from, ranging from Centennial Park (with a full-scale Parthenon replica) to Radnor Lake to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Restaurants:\u00a0<\/strong>With cuisine ranging from Caribbean to kosher, there is no shortage of options, but be sure to try Nashville\u2019s world-famous \u201chot chicken.\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sports:\u00a0<\/strong>Enjoy a good sports scene with the Tennessee Titans (NFL) and the Nashville Predators (NHL) located here. Also, catch some triple-A baseball at First Tennessee Park, home to the Nashville Sounds.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Travel:\u00a0<\/strong>Nashville is accessible to so many other cities. The website includes advertisements by landlords looking specifically for Vanderbilt-affiliated tenants, as well as by Vanderbilt students looking for roommates.
