Alex Hirschi, Ph.D.

Research Fellow, Biochemistry

Alex enjoys the sights and sounds of Nashville and the surrounding landscape. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Northwestern University and subsequently learned the trade of x-ray crystallography in Ted Jardetzky's laboratory. He received his Ph.D. at UC-Santa Cruz, working in Seth Rubin's laboratory to better understand how phosphorylation signaling pathways regulate the activity of the retinoblastoma protein.
