Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (WMed), provides outstanding educational experiences. Medical students are invited to apply to our fourth-year elective clerkships to learn more about WMed. Applications are accepted from upcoming fourth-year medical students through Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO). WMed has more than 200 resident physicians, representing more than 40 medical schools from all geographic regions of the U.S. We offer residency programs in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Medicine-Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Orthopaedic Surgery, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and fellowships in Emergency Medical Services, Sports Medicine, and Medical Simulation. Several of our programs are recognized by the ACGME with Osteopathic Recognition..
