Todd Rice, MD, MSCI

Dr. Rice is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Vanderbilt University. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and completed Internal Medicine residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship training at Vanderbilt University where he obtained a Master’s of Science in Clinical Investigation. He is one of four physician investigators with the Vanderbilt Coordinating Center, which coordinates multicenter international trials in critical illness, especially focusing on sepsis. He also has been the first author on two phase II sepsis intervention studies, on polyclonal anti-TNF antibody and a toll-like receptor 4 antagonist.
