My name is Chelsea Lawson and I am a fourth year applying into pediatrics. Wellness has always been super important in my life as an outlet for life and school stresses. I usually take an hour for exercise each day because it allows my brain to relax and reset. I also enjoy hiking and spending time with friends and family. My advice for maintaining wellness is to take at least one hour every day to do something for yourself and find out what activities make you feel reinvigorated and joyful. Everyone is unique and requires a wellness routine individualized to their interests and personality. For example, there are many people that practice yoga to relax. However, for me, I really hate being still and feel much more de-stressed after a run. Try out different activities and incorporate the ones that fit your personality and needs into your wellness routine.
