The Vanderbilt University Medical Center Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in collaboration with the newly created trans-institutional and multidisciplinary Vanderbilt Center for Addiction Research (VCAR) seeks applications for an open rank faculty position in the research field of addiction neurobiology broadly defined. The VCAR will capitalize on longstanding institutional strengths in cellular and molecular neuroscience, human neuroimaging, and neuroscience drug discovery to advance research into the pathophysiology and treatment of substance use disorders. Particular areas of research interest may include translational neuroscience, human genetics, neuroimaging and/or clinical research/trials. Generous start-up packages are available commensurate with rank and field of research. Minimum qualifications include an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree, evidence of extramural funding, high-impact research publications, use of cutting-edge approaches or paradigms, and scholarly and service activities commensurate with rank.
