The Vanderbilt International Scholar Program (VISP) was designed to recruit outstanding international students into Vanderbilt’s Biomedical Research programs and support them throughout their studies. VISP was one of the University’s many programs that are a part of Chancellor Nicholas Zeppos’s initiative to increase internationalization on campus.

From 2010-2016, VISP’s mission was to support outstanding international students who matriculated into graduate training programs in Biomedical Research at Vanderbilt University.  Scholars were selected from applicants to five PhD programs.

Short-Term Fellowship

The Short-Term Visit Fellowship fostered ongoing international research collaboration by supporting visits from international graduate students for 4 - 26 weeks.  This was typically to work on a specific project or technique.
