Applications for Summer 2015 VISRA are OPEN!

Applications for the Vanderbilt International Summer Research Program for Summer 2015 are open now!  We are delighted to be offering this program for a 5th summer.  During VISRA, students have the opportunity to complete a biomedical research project in the laboratory of a Vanderbilt University School of Medicine faculty scientist.  The program is designed to give talented international undergraduate students a chance to see what life as a biomedical PhD student is like at a top notch research institution. 

Winter weather doesn't slow down 2nd Southern Hemisphere VISRA program start

The second year of the Southern Hemisphere (January - February) edition of the Vanderbilt International Summer Research Academy go off to a great start despite extreme cold and snow.  Eight students (who all hail from much warmer climates) arrived in Nashville over the weekend to take part in the program.  This year's participants are: Monica Alvarado Rojas (from University of Costa Rica; working in the Guengrich lab) Esar Aysanoa Moore (from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru; working in the Skaar lab)
