My name is Suil Kim. I was born and raised in Incheon, a metropolitan coastal city in South Korea. I got my bachelor's degree from Sungkyunkwan University in Korea, majoring in biological sciences. During the time, I worked on neuroscience research, investigating a novel small peptide drug for Alzheimer's disease and synapse elimination of astrocytes during development.
Now, I have joined the IGP-VISP program here. I am more excited to become a VISP scholar than I was before I came here! The VISP program supports me very well in every aspect from getting a social security card to having a full financial support. Also, Nashville is a nice and clean city with a lot of restaurants and bars with different styles of music near the campus.
I really like cycling and I heard Nashville has nice bike routes through natural landscape. I would like to bike there someday.
