The ASPIRE Path in Molecular Medicine

My research interests include DNA replication, DNA damage and epigenetics. The goal of

my project is to understand how DNA metabolism is coupled with epigenetics regulation by

studying a chromatin regulator protein’s function in DNA replication and DNA repair. More

importantly, I am investigating how dysregulation in such function can lead to human disease,

including macrocephaly and cancer. This study will improve of the molecular mechanism of how

proper epigenetic regulation contributes DNA metabolism and prevents human diseases.
