Michael J Betti

Graduate Student, Human Genetics

I am a second-year Ph.D. student in the Human Genetics training program broadly interested in genetic epidemiology, human population genetics, the mechanisms of gene regulation, and the application of statistical and machine learning-based approaches to big data analysis. Under the co-mentorship of Melinda Aldrich and Eric Gamazon, I will aim to develop novel computational approaches that can be applied to exploring the genetic architecture of disease, specifically lung cancer, within diverse human populations.
