BRET Training Grant Support
Training grant support from the BRET Office consists of two components: substantial support for the application process (competitive renewal or submission of an entirely new application) and support for grant management after an award has been issued.

New or Renewing an Application:
We strongly recommend that faculty considering applying for training grant support first contact the BRET Office (grantsatbret@vanderbilt.edu) with at least 12 weeks advanced notice to arrange a pre-writing meeting to share goals, timelines, and support.
The BRET Office can supply critical support in three areas:
1. Once a faculty roster has been defined, the office will assist in the preparation of the tables and other components, which may vary if the application is processed by Vanderbilt University or Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 2. The BRET Office website provides a substantial amount of text for use in additional documentation, including RCR training, facilities information, and general student recruiting activities.
3. The BRET training grant team also provides a constructive proposal review after a first draft is available.
The BRET Office diligently monitors any and all changes in the application regulations and requirements, and will make this information available to the PI of a developing application. Details of current NIH expectations can be found at here.
Applications where predoctoral positions are being requested will route and be submitted by staff in the BRET Office.
