The Analyst III/IV will provide program support for a professional development program, FUTURE, for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars engaged in health sciences research.   FUTURE is funded by the NIH BEST (Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training) initiative which aims to provide graduate students and postdocs with opportunities to explore and prepare for the variety of career options available to biomedical scientists. This position will be located at the Clinical and Translational Science Center (Sacramento campus), but will also require working frequently on the Davis campus.  The Analyst IV will report to the Director of the FUTURE program. This is a one year contract position, with the possibility of extension for up to three years if funding is renewed.
 

Responsibilities 
  Reporting to the Director of the FUTURE program, the Program Coodinator will provide program support for a professional development program, FUTURE, for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars engaged in health sciences research.   This position will have primary responsibility for building and managing our partner base, which includes: recruitment of external partners in the biotech industry, government agencies, non-profit organizations and other settings, management of the partner database in SalesForce, matching graduate and students and postdocs with partners, engaging partners in program activities, and tracking partner participation. Other functions of this position include: development and implementation of program events and activities; promotion of the FUTURE program through marketing and outreach; and program evaluation, tracking, and reporting.

 
 

Requirements 
  –BA/BS degree in a related field and experience in academic programs administration or career development programs at the graduate/postdoctoral level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
–Experience with computers, including the use of Web-based tools and databases; skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel (including use of formulas) and PowerPoint.
–Skills to initiate and produce effective print and Web-based materials in collaboration with Student Affairs Marketing and Communications team.
–Familiarity with the use of LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter for marketing, research, and communication.
–Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
