Established in 2005, BRET Career and Professional Development provides enrichment activities for Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt Health graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Part of the Office of Biomedical Research Education and Training in the Vanderbilt School of Medicine Basic Sciences, the program was recognized in 2013 for its commitment to career development for biomedical sciences Ph.D. students and postdocs through a BEST award, a $1.2 million, 5-year grant from the NIH Common Fund.
