NIH webinar: Healthy Rest as a Steppingstone to Productivity and Well-being
On Wednesday, April 24th, 4:00 – 5:15 pm EDT, OITE will be hosting the second part of the Mental Health and Well-being Series for Biomedical Researchers: Healthy Rest as a Steppingstone to Productivity and Well-being.
This session will focus on healthy rest, which is key to effectiveness at work and overall mental and physical health. However, many researchers find it challenging to incorporate it as a regular practice. This lecture and conversation will define what constitutes healthy rest, explore its benefits, discuss impediments to practice healthy rest, and offer ways to intentionally include rest into one’s lifestyle.
The webinar will run 4:00 – 5:15 pm EDT and is open to everybody at NIH and all folks outside the NIH, including students, fellows, staff, and faculty.
The webinar will be followed by an in-depth “OITE Thriving Thursday” conversation and discussion of practical tools related to the topic on May 9th from 12-1 pm EDT.
