Description:
Porter Fellowships support full-time underrepresented minority students in programs leading to the Ph.D. (or D.Sc.) in the physiological sciences. The fellowship offers support for up to two years.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be:
- An underrepresented racial or ethnic minority.
- Citizens or permanent residents of the United States or its territories.
- Student members of the APS or have an application in process.
- Enrolled full-time in a program leading to a Ph.D. or D.Sc. in the physiological sciences.
- Accepted into or be enrolled in a graduate program in physiology at a U.S. institution at the time of the application.
Award amount: $28,300 annual stipend.
