CDB Conference Room Guidelines (PDF)
Conference Room Configuration and Equipment Fact Sheet (PDF. Overview of the rooms configuration and resources, including equipment.)
CDB conference room scheduling has been updated and is now available through Outlook room resources.
The room resources may be reserved by any Primary Faculty and CDB administrative staff. Lab managers will also be able to reserve a room.
Generally you will only be able to create and modify your own entries, however administrative staff will be able to alter other reservations if priorities need to be preserved. (Mary Heath, Elaine Caine, Susan Walker, Carol Johnson, Marc Wozniak)
Scheduling can be performed with or without Microsoft Outlook on your computer.
The Outlook web link on our website (Resources -> Conference Rooms) will allow you to access the room resources after you select the room number (CDB 3131. CDB 4131, CDB 3136), and log-in with your VU id.
Select New appointment and then find the scheduling assistant tab to begin finding available times. Booked times will blocked out. Enter the date, start time and end times to make your reservation.
Use the recycle button at the top to make this a recurring meeting.
In Outlook you can similarly go to the calendar pane and select a new appointment. Free and Busy times will be revealed using the scheduling assistant.
You will need to add a room at the bottom of the page if you have not made an appointment before.
Add the calendar by looking it up in the Global address book. The rooms will have these names CDB 3131. CDB 4131, CDB 3136.
Select the room and press resource button to add this room for future scheduling. You can now select this room in the scheduling assistant by checking the box next to it.
Enter the date, start time and end times to make your reservation and use the recycle button at the top to make this a recurring meeting.
In all cases allow 15 minutes padding before and after classes.
